Hi! It’s nice to

meet you

I’m Maddie Iverson & I am a multifaceted designer & artist based in Portland, Oregon.

With over ten years of experience in the design world, I specialize in bringing new & established brands to life through brand strategy, attention to detail, & expert craftsmanship.

I work closely with my clients to develop a solid partnership as we collaborate together, by building trust, ensuring high-end results, & providing expert care & service while I design for you.

I am passionate about brand strategy, sociology, & purposeful design. I love to learn & am always open to explore new ideas. I find inspiration in many things, but most of all in architecture & the natural world.

Design Philosophy

I believe that great design is beautiful, purposeful, & story-driven. Great design is not just about looks & aesthetics, but in how people use & experience the product. Often less is more, but not at the sake of having fun.

I believe it is only through these things that you can experience all of the subtle touches, all of the things visible & invisible that makes truly great design.

Personal History

While I am a primarily self-taught designer & artist, I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Apparel Design from Oregon State University (go beavs!) with minors in business & entrepreneurship.

I grew up on a small sheep farm in the lush countryside outside of Canby, Oregon. I am grateful to have been surrounded by animals, nature, & good food my entire life. I currently live with my husband, my cat Snowball, & my border collie Rowan. I love to play board games, read scifi/fantasy books, sing karaoke, & go hiking & wine tasting on the weekends. I do my best to bring my joy of living to all the things that I do.

A FEW OTHER IRONS IN THE FIRE

A FEW OTHER IRONS IN THE FIRE

I originally went to university to pursue graphic arts, however, I found myself switching majors to learn about fashion, business, & the larger world of design.

While working in the fashion industry, I had a chance to travel and work in London, as well as here in the states. In 2018, I eventually started my own line of award-winning womenswear, called O’ Field Apparel, where I design & sew luxury wool outerwear. I also occasionally plan weddings & design event flowers & installations through my company Dove Creek Studio. I am also a professional seamstress & tailor and do gown alterations for local brides year round.
