Born in El Salvador, Claudia Castro Luna arrived in the United States in 1981. Living in English & Spanish, she writes & teaches in Seattle on unceded Duwamish lands where she gardens & keeps chickens with her husband & their three children.
While I focused on a clean & minimal aesthetic for her website, designing it to be functional & eye-catching for her viewers, I wanted to highlight the striking & evocative colors, plants, & landscapes of her native country.
A refined & confident logomark. Pairing a formal serif with bright tropical colors feel both elegant & energetic & are reminiscent of the Author’s native country of El Salvador.
